No corner of the world is immune to natural disasters, but the aftermath of a typhoon or earthquake can be especially devastating for people who live in developing nations where resources are limited. Following Christ’s example, AIM’s ministry partners seek to meet physical as well as spiritual needs of hurting people. They have a distinct advantage over NGO’s and other foreign relief organizations, as they can avoid much of the “red tape” involved in emergency responses. Because they are nationals, these men and women can mobilize quickly to deliver food, water, blankets, medicine, and other aid to people in crisis. As they demonstrate God’s love in tangible ways, local believers have opportunities to tell others about the source of eternal security that can be found in Christ alone.
